Parks Ford: Inspiring Growth

Our GFW 2014 sponsor has a track record of transformation, inspiring us to do the same.

From road trips to cupcake runs, our cars are a hub for weekend adventures and a break from class. Although they’re currently sprinkled green with pollen, our cars sit happily in their spots, knowing we would do anything to make them run flawlessly. Parks Ford & Lincoln of Gainesville cares about your ride just as much as you do, and we’re proud to call them Gainesville Fashion Week sponsors. Parks Ford, located at 3333 N. Main Street, is a direct reflection of this year’s GFW theme, Inspiring Growth. The new business ranks community support among its most important qualities. It is involved with the Chamber of Commerce, Club Scouts (who held a derby in the showroom) and Gainesville Street Rod Club. Not only are the showroom walls decorated with the work of local artists, but also Parks Ford is the recipient of the Gainesville Beautification Award, honored for overturning its originally abandoned, rundown property.

Along with all its good work in the community, Parks Ford general manager John Lanza said things on the business end have been “outstanding.”

“Last year we were up about 150 percent from the year before,” he said. “Every year we’re continuing to grow.”

Lanza said he is proud of the company’s success, but his favorite part of his job is working with the people.

“There are quite a few employees that help take care of their families, and we have a good place for them to work and be able to continue to improve their lives.”

Most importantly, Lanza said, Parks Ford values customer service. The staff is always available, understanding the bond between a person and his or her car.

“We’re always here to make deals – sales or service,” Lanza said. “Our service and parts is open 7 days a week just so that customers can be taken care of all week long.”
